Default Need help with Cam tuning, expert advice would be awesome

Here's the rundown on my engine situation.

The Celica has a 4afe, which is a 1.6 liter with an iron block, closed deck. The head has some narrow ports (that I want to open up), a narrow valve angle (22.5 degrees) and some mild cams. THe block makes it awesome for boost, but the head is the part that will give me some problems. I know I need to open up the ports (or at least clean them up, smooth some stuff out), get some nice valves, retainers and cams. Everything seems fine until I get to the issue of cams. The 4afe is a DOHC engine, but it only has one cam gear. The cam gear is attached to the exhaust gear, while the intake cam is hooked to the exhaust cam by a slave gear.

I plan to be building the bottom end (Weisco 9:1 comp, paulter rods), using some comp cam springs/retainers, possibly valves if I can find some that will fit. My goal is around 350 horsepower and a decent amount of torque (stock redline is 6200 rpms). I think to hit my goal I will need some larger cams, but nothing too extreme. Since there is no easy way to adjust the timing independly from one another (intake and exhaust cams), do you guys think I will run into big problems? I thought of there being the same issue with the SOHC D series engine, since there is no way to independently control the timing on the exhaust/intake valves.

Any imput would be awesome. Thanks,

Colin

PS. I put this in Engine Managment because my questions are more tuning/power related. If it needs to be moved, I'm sorry.
