need help asap
alright so today i was driving my car and all of a sudden it starts bucking hard and wont accellerate. I make it to my school and then when i went to leave iit wouldnt really rev. sounded like it was missing. pop the hood see nothing wrong. finally i open the ecu and find this:

q101 owns you. most of the time its a bad ground that causes it. On rare instances ive seen people pop them from shitty stereo installs

so my friend tried my ecu and it still worked when he put his chip in. maybe my chip is toast? wtf is going on here.

Ive rocked two diff. ECU's with fried Q31's, and noticed no problems. Id do reburn of your chip and see what happens. Did any traces around Q31 get damaged?

OK so the plot thickens. so tonight I throw on a valvecover to rad support ground cause i didnt have one. throw in my ecu and chip and boom it starts. I drive it a little and then go back into my driveway and put my boost controller back on. as soon as i connect the vac lines on the manual boost controller (GFB) it taps the firewall and it seems like taht second it turns off

i have no idea. I was also thinking that maybe its the inline radioshack resistors because now when i crank it while it has the problem it smells like gasoline

ok so I pulled the plugs and they are covered in fuel. car has new plug wires, cap and rotor. Put new sparkplugs in and it reved a little better but still was breaking up. Tried my friends chip and it reved smoother and I was able to sort of drive it but it was all bog but was able to boost but then got worse again so i limped it home. any ideas?

My old EK had a intermitent CEL and bog. Restart and it was fine. Come to find last week the conversion harness has a loose wire. Moral is to check that ---- bag harness you have. If I remember correctly your cars harness was an abortion at best.

BTW, Q31 controls the EVAP Purge Control Solenoid...---- if you need that, for emissions only if you even bother to hook it up.
Seen lots of them fried when someone plugs the PCS into the wrong sensor... Lots of things to check...coil, ignitor, plug wire resistance. Give it the wiggle test. Start the car, let it idle and start wiggling wires around, especially grounds (seems like you have a ground issue) and see where the motor starts acting funny or changes. Then narrow it down if that helps you find anything... |

found out yesterday it was just a loose connection to the harness on the 2.5 bar
