Narrow Band: volts/AFR question.

I was reading a artical on TurboSaturn.net and it said:

At an air/fuel ratio of 14:1 the oxygen sensor voltage signal would read 1.0 volt on a narrow band sensor. If the air/fuel ratio mixture is rich than the sensor would read fewer volts or conversely if the mixture is lean the O2 sensor would read a larger voltage. If the air/fuel ratio is richer than 11.7:1 (0.8 volts) or leaner than 18:1 (1.22 volts) the engine won't run.

I allway's thought that with stock O2 sensor's, anything below .9 volts is lean and any thing above 1.v is rich, according to this artical I'm ass backwards??

What is the correct Volt/AFR?

Well, I know you guy's know the right answer. So does a stock narrow band 02 give a higher or lower voltage when rich?

Re:Narrow Band: volts/AFR question.

i think the narrowband o2 can only read up to one volt or so, so anything after that in the gauge would read rich.

i might be wrong, so don't take my word on it.
