i recently just bought a JDM p28 obd1 ecu from some dude for 70. he didnt have the usdm one so he had to give me this one.. has anybody or is it stil possible to chip this thing? because the board looks a lil diff from the usdm p28s and it looks pre chipped but no zif socket.. i have no experience with JDM ---- and just wondering if anyone does know if it is just actually the same ---- as a usdm p28? i know this site likes to bash on JDM, ---- i cant stand it either but it was a good working ecu for a good *** price

what's the part ecu part no. on the side?
maybe you have an edm ecu.

 

I dunno EDM well, but I think they get P08 as well. Maybe. :P

 

well i dont know i never knew there was a JDM p28 ecu either, til i did a lil searching and found the only thing thats diff about a us and jdm p28 is that the the us one has an atmosphereic sensor and the jdm doesnt and everything else i sthe same... anyways hes the pic and it doesnt look like a p28 board..

There is no JDM P28. Their D16Z6-equivalent ran a P08.

You have an Accord ECU someone stuck a P28 sticker on, welcome to pwnage.

 

thats not an accord ecu, atleast not one from 90-93.

 

POA = Accord, and it's a squarish motherboard like the Accords. Pot, kettle, black.

I have a couple of those motherboards sans cases downstairs in the parts pile. They aren't anything useable.

i actually know the guy that gave it to me, he's my cousin's friend, i just called him he said to bring it to him today to trade for a P28. so i consider myself not pwned
