The setup is a z6 vitara build. It's been running on a gm 3bar find. But thing is, it's a borrowed map sensor. Now he plugged in a motorola 2.5 bar.

I made a new bin, scaled everything correctly and selected the 2.5bar in adv boost tools.

The car will idle fine, and after about 10-15 seconds, it will go lean and die. It throws a code 5, map sensor.

It's wired correctly and starts up perfectly.

I dont' know whats going on? The only thing I could see that's bad is either I burned out the map sensor when i soldered the wires on there or the vacuum line that's going to the map sensor isn't completely sealing around the fitting and has a slight leak. But it idles perfect for 10-15 seconds.

 

what does it read when you turn the key to acc ?


how much vac/boost ?

my read like 22psi. lol

 

It was reading -20 in/hg

 

i couldnt figure out my either.

i changed the wires around every which way but still couldnt get it to work.


all i did was, replaced the moto 2.5 sensor and everything worked as it should.

what version of crome was that made with?

 

I had the same prob with the moto 2.5bar, I went through a coupple sensors before saying ---- it, and going back to the stocker. I'll just man up and buy the gm3bar.
