Does it log if you try connecting?

There might be something wrong with the physical connection.

Also, there are no drivers to install with the hulog/hondalog. All you do is plug it up, set the com port/baud/latency..etc to match with the settings in freelog and thats it.

What seting's are you using for the baud/latency etc...? I'm using cromepro w/ostrich2.0 and the ostrich works just fine, cant get the hullog to conect, when I "test connection" it pretty much tells me to ---- myself.

Re: MOATES HULOG DATALOG. Help?

For datalogging, I use

Baud rate/bits per second: 38400
Data Bits: 8
Parity: none
Stop bits: 1

I use COM 2 for datalogging.

To connect to the ostrich, I use 115200 and everything else the same. COM 4.

Crome is weird. Try connecting the device first, make sure your settings are what they need to be under device manager. Then open up crome and make sure those settings are correct and then connect. It takes a few times sometimes because crome doesn't detect the com port to be open.
