i cant figure this thing out. i can load the bin, i can read the chip, and blank check knows the chip is not blank(at29c256) but i cant burn it again. i keep getting a prom i/o error.????? any ideas???

there was a walkthrough on the site with regards to port speeds, and other sync issues. are you using xp?

if you have a usb2.0 port, try using a usb1.1 port, or 1.0 whatever it is
just switch up the usb ports, see if it helps. also, what does the programming memory range show? make sure it's 000000 to 007FFF |

don't forget to make sure that your in usb ports COM1-4
i tried mine in COM5, and it didn't work |

it's telling you the chip is not blank, right? erase it, then burn it. I bought the moates because the willem was a piece of ----, I haven't had problems with the moates.
