Moates Burn 1 problem
 

i followed the websites instructions for setup. everything checked out good. it said autoprom blah blah version 2.01 or something so i went and ran the blank check. well then it said check the connectivity so i did. tried reinstalling. downloaded new drivers from the ftdichip.com people because i thought it had something to do with windows xp. anyway, the computer also restarts sometimes while playing with the burn 1. anyone experience things similar or know what to do?

did you go through all the comp port setting and stuff like that? It looks like you plug it into the wrong place and the driver is not sensing it. I installed mine couple days ago and it worked like a charm.

Do you have the latest motherboard drivers? Do you have SP1 for updated USB support?

i emailed craig moates and he hit me back in like 2 hours. he said they have some bugs and gave me a link to go check out and also told me to download the most resent version of marks tunerpro. i ended up using tunerpro rt though and it all worked good. the software was messed up and not the drivers.

so i burned the obd1 zc program on my dx ecu and the engine runs so awsome now!! nice idle, smooth accel., way faster. even got a cop to follow me around the back of my house and block me in!! my mom hooked me up so no ticket this summer yet!
