Megasquirt

Does anyone on here have any experience with this?

I'm looking to turbo a ford probe, it has a 2.5 v6 mazda engine in it and was wondering whether using megasquirt would be a good idea?

how does it interface with the cars original engine managment system or is that completely taken out?

Talk to Whitey or PM (email) the vendor who is selling the Megasquirt kits

Hopefully I get a Megaaquirt project sometime this winter...I'd be interested in learning more.

I'm using it and I think its ------- awesome. You can use it as a piggyback system or you can rip out the old computer and have everything controlled by MS

Thats the answer to the main question I have, a friend of mine is wanting me to do a twin turbo project on his 2.5 v6 mazda engined ford probe. My main problem was going to be the fuelling, with the car running a MAF sensor its going to be sensing a lot more air than usual and i didnt know whether i would have coped or not.

What are you using yours on whitey?

Im using one on my escort gt that has a 1.8L mazda engine.....I'd definately recommend it, its a great setup. You should check over on probetalk.com, I know there's a few people over there using it and they usually are great with helping people.

Originally I was using a 2.5 bar map sensor but with my project I'm switching over to a 55mm MAF. Its alot easier to use a map sensor with MS becuase its integrated into the board and MAP is better than MAF

We've done a 2L 16v in ITBs, Dustins turbo 16v GTI, and a turbo 16v GLI in the last year on MS. Business has picked up so this coming month we're doing a G60 Corrado, a 2L 16v with a 4-port fogger, a built all motor 8v, a RHD 280Z, and a VR6 on ITBs.

I love Megasquirt.
