Most people here run Uber/Crome/Turboedit/AFC Hack. I would include FMU in that list too because it's true, but it's more retarded than Terry Schiavo.

Well, yes there are a lot of Hondas, but more and more non-hondas are coming here and looking at MS so if you truly are the 'Godfather of MS' hopefully you can help out.

The short ant dirty of it is its eather a DIY piggyback fuel ECU or a Stand Alone ECU, thats is cheaper. www.megasquirt.info

my car has been squirted for over 2 years and 2 months :) ...so if YOU have any questions let me know ... Haha :)

1st year just fuel, 2nd year MSnEDIS, 3rd year MSnExtra :)

My poor MS has been through hell and back, I'm ashamed to show how it looks when I open up the case, it's been ghetto modded so many times, but it's never ever failed me, it's so butched I can't believe it still works. I'm going to break down and build a new one soon :)

marclar maybe you remember me from the ERDT days.....

I've been running MSnS-extra for a bit over a month now. There's already some of the local non-believers asking me how many beers it would take to have a couple more kits assembled. The one that's going to be interesting is the JDM 20-valve toyota motor, with ITB's 8)

Did you make a new wiring harness, tap into the stock one, or bust up a stock computer to plug megasquirt into the factory uncut harness?

dan. you should go on feoa.net. all the ertd survivors have refuged there.. i made a totaly new harness for it using the stock harness. it saved me about 10 lbs, and alot of mess. the MSnS EDIS Xtra is pimp juice. im still trying to get the TCS figured out. im using the dual table with the spi and water injection.

tehy use megasquirt alot on turbobricks.com and i really want to put a set-up on my car but i cant figure out what exactly i need to buy. i know i need the stim, and the basic kit , but what else? ??? god father help !!!

So, MegaSquirt is basically for non-hondas.... I have been hearing a lot about it lately.

All you need is the basic kit. The stimulator is not necessary but it really really really helps you build the ECU correctly.



No. There are a few Hondas running MS, its just alot less practical since there are easier fuel management solutions for Hondas.

isnt mega squirt batch fire injection? i.e. it fires 2 injectors at once and just pools the fuel behind the non-firing cylinders valves until they open?

Poolling fuel on the backsides of hot intake valves? Isn't that high-dollar Porsche technology, where they use raw fuel to cool the intake valves between intake events? If you can cool the intake valve by ~60 deg F it's the same as 2 points of octane.

If you mean stock Honda DPI, no. If you mean some of the aftermarket throttle body injection setups used on built all to hell domestics that are faster than your Honduh will ever be - sure, why not?

I thought that you wanted fuel to be in a vapor from to make the best power. If its pooling on the valve then wouldnt it just run over the intake valve and into the cc defeating the purpose of making it a vapor in the first place?

Its not really in there long enough to make a difference. Sequential only really matters for low rpm emissions. And alot of cars that are sequential start batch firing above a certain rpm anyways......Like the NSX.

The current MS only does batch. I Think the ultramegasquirt which is gonna come out soon will be able to do sequential though.

I could probably do so, but you'd have to give me a reason why I should care to. For the life of me, I cannot see a reason to. That's the sort of semantic level we're operating on here...
