MAP Sensor Trick w/ Resistor?

Would a resistor between the MAP Sensor/ECU Work instead of a Check Valve hack and what is the most boost you can run without getting a CEL from the MAP Sensor???

It could work, but the signal is such an alternating/unconsistent pattern that it could throw off settings. The AFC adjusts the voltage in real time... But I honestly don't know for sure. :)
