Map sensor sugestions for B18a
 

I need a map sensor for my b18a,,,is the motorola 2.5 bar what most people are running?
the setup 48/60 on a b18a with turbo edit.....

oh btw im white trash so dont suggest h-t priced ----

stock b18a and that size of a turbo, cant imagine you'll be running much more than 12psi, run the stocker.

Its a .48/60 Garrett, and Im not sure how far I am going to push it yet

well i can guess how hard you're going to push it.

a turbo that size on a b18 is going to start getting out of efficiency in much over 12psi, and end up blowing alot of hot air.

I'd advise to run the stock map sensor, limit yourself to 12psi with that turbo, and upgrade the turbo before thinking about pushing it harder.

Alright heres the deal fook, the stock map sensors limit is like 11 and so If I wanted to run 12 I wouldnt be able to .
are you telling me you dont want me to run 12 psi on a t bird turbo fook are you?

i think your .48/.60 will do just fine on a ls, ---- i have a pos t3 /48/.42 for now and i planned on running it on 12, id have prob the same power you will with mine on 12psi and yours on 9. look at the turbo projects, turbo's that ls with a .48/60 made like 230whp or so and the tq was right with it.

Yeah I ran that turbo on my LS for the first setup. It was a pretty good turbo for the street. Spooled quickly and hit full boost by 3800 RPM. I'd say you could push past 12psi on it pretty safely. Granted it won't be a monster turbo that will just keep flowing air up top but it should be enough for what your looking for.

uhh, yes you can run 12psi on a stock map.

ive run up to 15 psi on stock map sensors before. the stock map is limited to .75 bar over atmosphere, or 11.025psi. You can run more, but your tuning software is only going to read to the top column of the fuel/ignition tables, so basically you just use the top column as your 12psi column, no big deal. There's only a split moment between spooling 11-12psi anyways, so its not like you're going to have any troubles tuning it.
