Map sensor sees Boost
When I begin to boost the car goes in limp mode....the map sensor sees the boost.
I'm using 450cc injectors and a map hack. The car runs and idles nicely when not in boost, but as soon as boosts it goes into limp mode. What could it be? |
Re:Map sensor sees Boost
you most likey are running too rich and need to cut back the voltage to the map sensor some more. i had the same problem when i would hit 7-10psi in third and forth gear, then i leaned out the afc some to cut back the voltage some more and now it hits almost perfect ;D try leaning out your settings...

Re:Map sensor sees Boost
I got the problem
My A6 thorttle body has a nipple that goes to the map sensor....and it looked kinda weird...I T'd the map sensor to another vacume soarce (the one that goes to the dashpot)...well ;D I boosted finally. I think the nipple on the thorttle body closes or something when going into boost |
Re:Map sensor sees Boost
Hmmm, good find. Glad you got it fixed, now where are the pics and how's the boost?! ;D

Re:Map sensor sees Boost
There are pic's at the Dutch HMT meet lol...I need to make more pic's and a Vid is coming soon...boost feels awesome I hit 0.8 bar 11.6psi that was awesome.

Re:Map sensor sees Boost
Hell yeah Sem, that's awesome and you did it on purpose this time!!! :D

Re:Map sensor sees Boost
<--- hoping to see some Semnos style vid soon ;D
Nothing like some cobble stone induced axle hop lol |
Re:Map sensor sees Boost
Hey leed I've never seen the vid you made at the HMT meet at Pieter's place ;D

Re:Map sensor sees Boost
Good to seee you fixed it. Well I think I know the vacuum port you're talking about. On my B16 and my friends B16 there;s a nipple for a vacuum line its the highest vacuum port in the center of the T-body. I T'd my boost gauge there and the gauge was readin backwards the port is for the charcoal Canister and emissions BS But I took all that off But if you hook the MAP line up to it the car will run and idle like CRAP. I have my MAP line T'd into my Fuel pressure regulator.
I was getting weak Vacuum from the MAP port and even took my T-body off and ported out the hole thinking it was clogged so still weak Vacuum. But the FPR vacuum sorce is great so thats where I have to run my MAP sensor. Everyone looks at it ands like dude you MAP ran wrong and I have to explain ths situation. But it works fine the way I have it ran so I'm sticking with it. |
