Crome. And even without AutoTune (Which I haven't used yet) It is worth it!

Crome Pro, AEM EMS, Hond@t@ s300 I think...

From what I've seen, they only do Fuel. You gotta figure out everything else yourself (eg. Vtec points, Timing, etc.)

I don't trust autotune very much.

Once I get cruising or NA fuel maps in rough shape, sometimes I let autotune go to take care of the rest. Since it only tunes the cells you log you have to be careful and try to drive over as much of the map as possible or you can turn a map into hamburger pretty quick.

Best thing I can advise anyone is to set max allowable adjustment to 0.5% or else it acts funky as hell.

Open up crome and go to Help > Register. Then click "Get Reg String". You're gonna need that Serial ID to register it. Make sure your doing this on the computer you're gonna use it on. You cannot transfer keys to another computer and if you format and reinstall your OS, you need to request a new key. Keep this in mind.

I've formatted and re-installed, and my regstring still works. I think it's keyed into some hardware ID of the computer's.

Hmm, I read that on PGMFI. In fact I think John Cui was the one that said it. He said that you'd have to post your new serial ID and that he'd be able to tell if it was a totally diff comp or if u just reformatted. But if you've done it b4 then w/e. :)

Eh, I've been using a stripped down self-install of XP for a while now. I just format, load it and go. That's probably why it comes up with the same ID everytime. *shrug*

Doesn't work on my other laptop, tho, you *do* have to be using the same hardware as the regstring was originally issued for.

Not enough ppl use it for a major group to get the inclination to crack it. Regardless, John is a really cool guy and has put a lot of time into developing his software. There is a free version, and for the features that the pro version comes with, it is worth the price. He is always on PGMFI helping out users and other developers. I'm usually all for Open Source and free access to software released by big corporations. But in this case, John isn't exactly making much profit. Not that many ppl actually go and pay for the pro version and i'm sure it doesn't compare to the amount of time he has put into his product.

nOOB question.. what means autotune? that's for example a Uberdata? or Crome? those have autotune?

Tom-Guy 06-01-2006 03:54 PM

Re: which Managements has autotune? and is it worth somthing?

Crome and Uberdata and Hondata are all names for Windows programs that edit the program an OBD1 Honda ECU runs.

Autotune is a common name for a feature included in Crome, where Crome calculates how much fuel values need to be changed based on air-fuel ratios (also called AFRs) datalogged by wideband.

Try to rephrase that back at me, Walter, so I know it made it across the language barrier.

Re: which Managements has autotune? and is it worth somthing?

oh, thank you ,Joseph Davis, i appreciate to you for to "waste" your time for to explain to me about it. thank you alot.

ok, that feature only is included in Crome? (i guess PRO crome, right?).

ok, crome says you , what values of A/F do you need to change through the wideband? for example, Crome "read" the A/F you have in that moment through wideband and that features from Crome say you what values do you need to change for to run more safe?

thank you again. ;)
