M-300 setup questions
Alright, I am installing my m-300 in my 93 del sol, P06 obd1. there are those white and black wires coming from the controller, Wher exactly do they need to go? I saw another topic where someone said use a three way switch so you could toggle the ecu from seing the wideband/narrowband sensors, I was under te impression that the ecu needed to see a narrowband signal no matter what. I am using ECU control to datalog if it makes a difference, any help would be appreciated.

Re: M-300 setup questions
Thats my question where exactly does the "signal out" get wired "in"?

Re: M-300 setup questions
Ah. Why didn't you just say so?? :P
Disconnect the stock O2 input wire entirely (or unplug/remove stock O2; if you have WB and stocker in parallel things get fucked) and slip the white 0-5v output in place of it @ pin D14. Lodge ECU in open loop/debug mode and log to your heart's content. The grey wire is 0-1v narrowband simulation, and you can switcheroo that right over. |
Re: M-300 setup questions
Can I just leave them both connected, and put in a swtich to toggle back and forth, I've heard its not good to have the wideband running all the time, and doesnt the ecu still need a narrowband imput or is that why you "lodge ECU in open loop/debug mode"? This is just getting confusing but thank you for your help it is much appreciated, i'll try it out.
EDIT: Do I just yank out the wire going into pin d14 and stick this one in there, or do i cut it and splice it? How do you guys do it? a pic would be nice. thanks |
Re: M-300 setup questions
Wideband sensors wear out... about as fast as stock ones, really, but since it's *supposed* to be a calibrated instrument with good response time people get all ---- about them. Having yours mounted in car so *you* can monitor it, and replacing the senor for $50 every 10-20K miles... sound like it's worth it?
Like I said... "switcheroo" |
Re: M-300 setup questions
How and where do you setup the switch, does anyone have any ideas or pics?

Re: M-300 setup questions
Either grey wire has continuity with D14, or the white wire does. Golly.
