low fuel pressure = stuttering

Could low fuel pressure cause stuttering at full throttle/full boost?

The spark plug gap is fine and I am running zydne and have all the fuel necessities, my fuel pressure gauge reads about 31psi. I think I had a similar problem on another turbo setup before and turning the fuel pressure up helped. Anyone have this problem?

Can you list more about your setup etc.? How many miles are on the engine and all. It could actually be a number of things, but knowing a little more about what's been done/what engine etc. might help us to narrow things down.

zc with 40k
550
15g turbo
255 walbro fuel pump
fpr
zydne GS
I was at 9lbs of boost but it crept up to around 11 and I started to notice the stuttering at full boost. I tried to turn the boost down on the turbonetics external waste gate but it didn’t seem to want to come down. So I am going to get the boost turned down when I get a chance to mess with it some more, but I still wanted to know why it does this when the boost is up.?

what type of plugs/gap are u running? do some research on this, it may be the cause...its worth it since plugs are only a few bucks compared to unneccesarily upgrading your fuel system...unless you need to

thanks for the link and info. My plugs could be getting old but they are gapped at .030. I will check that again thanks

Also check/replace your wires, cap and rotor if it hasn't been done yet. My Civic had a nasty stuttering problem that turned out to be a bad cap and rotor.

YEA id check ur friggin gaps fag. u stupid fucker everyone knows that stuttering at high rpms equals spark plug gaps dumb ass, so do that and bump up the fuel pressure retard then ur set for a real race against some real blown muscle. Ps had that same problem on the dyno
haha had to give ya ---- i laughed my ass off at work doing this cya later rapp, wing
