Looking at a civic tomorrow, quick question!

The car is a 1992 Civic, not sure if it's DX, EX, whatever. He just said it's a 5-speed and it's cheap so I'm gonna take a look at her. Since it's a '92, does that mean it is OBD1? And will that mean that the ecu is chippable for Crome or Uberdata and I won't have to do any crazy wiring harness mods?

Ok so it's OBD1, I was pretty sure of that. Can anyone verify if I can just chip the ecu and go without any wiring modifications?

Thanks for confirming Trance. Well I'm assuming this is gonna have a D15 so let's just hope I don't blow it up! I've heard the rods are skinny as ----. Let's pray the LM-1 keeps my engine alive ;)

lol just take it easy and play it safe with the LM1 and you'll be alright. I'm going to snap some pics of the rods that came out of my D15B7. Try and take some comparison pictures for people to see how tiny these things are.

sorry trance, I'm way ahead of you :)

VX on the left, DX on the right.........

VX = 137 mm length, DX = 134 mm length.

Maybe you see where the D15Baby8 is headed :)
