Default in line vs in tank pump

i am considering buying a in tank walbro pump, but i have a inline pump hanging around my house. i was wondering if the use of the inline pump (along with the stock civic pump) would have the same effect as the walbro

also, is there any way to make an extrernal pump quiet
(that whining sound is annoying)

thanks for the tips

i think the inline pump will burn out your stock civic pump. and that whining, the walbro does it also.

I have inline fuel pump.
At 1st, I thought the same, just add inline, and keep intank aswell. Tourned out to be no-go, as inline had so much more flow that it was almost creating vacuum between it and intank pump (you could feel hoses become 'softer' or easier to squeeze.
Than I removed intank.. and works flawlessly now.
