$600 for a solution that has poor coil dwell control and a complete lack of table resolution?

ok

I don't know what to say. For being such a crappy piece of equipment there's a pretty huge community behind it. I think the 16x16 tables work fine for what I'm doing sure more is better.. I like how the MAP and RPM scalars are user definable. He said he would be using coil packs anyway, which is probably why everyone runs wasted spark with MS.. It could suck I dunno. I haven't had a shitty experience to deem it crappy so far.

What's up with your buddy's mustang, what kinda problems is he having with his coil charge?

I had some dwell issues when I switched to a MSD SS Blaster coil from the stock coil. Switched back to stock and no problem. MS is a great project IMO.

ummmm there is no need to run igniton over MS

MS can be used just as fuel Piggy

and with a ford edis and wasted spark, the ppl that i ask make great numbers

ok

but thats not a MS only threat

which other options did i have with OBD2?

It can't be controlled. Look at the ------- software, compare it to any standalone. It is not correctly manipulatable, you can not dictate dwell time as it is applicable to some distributor cars.

A lot of people have good luck with MS, but in my experience if it isn't on a Miata prepare for a learning experience.

Excuse me, what the ---- did you say? Do you really think ignition timing doesn't matter? :1

Which is the absolute worst way to tune ANY engine. Good luck with that. The only reason lexus tards' get away with it is because the 2jz and 1uz are well designed engines. Doesnt make them indestructable.

Like JD said, why spend $600 on a MS and ford edis trigger wheel, etc, etc. blah blah. When you can pick up used EMS for $500 on ebay, pin up your harness, and run stock sensors? (apart from a gm 3bar map), and have WAY more capability than the MS?

If you were a 4 cylinder I'd tell you to run an OBD1 Honda distributor.
