Learning TurboEdit - Chip Burning - Self Tuning HOW DO YOU DO IT FORM THE START

Need to learn everything from the start. I dont wanna have to rely on anyone except for advise and parts. Wanna be able to everything tuning wise to my ecu.

My car is an 88 Crx Si, obdo. Going to be running a chipped pm6 by xenocron, alreayd has the removable chip holder installed. He has a basemap burned on it for me already. I also will have a permanent Twintec digital windband installed in the car.

I really dont even know where to start explaining myself. I need to know what type of burner to buy for ease of use and simplicity and how to use it, maybe a spare chip I might need to buy for a backup.

Need to know how to tune the car, from the basemap tune to the fully tuned setup, timing and fuel. Maybe buy a cheap laptop, datalog?

Im sure there is an article or a few ones people can point me to.

I have read a few basemap articles . But I have yet to find ANYTHING on starting from SCRATCH, from first hearing about TE to being able to adjust maps and tune like no tomorrow

Sorry if this topic has been coverred, but Id like to learn myself instead of getting someone to do it everytime I change my setup. Hope someone can point me in the right direction

Thanks

As far what? Ease of use for a beginner? Price? I dont know what nakes a good chip buner nor do I know what type or kind or brand whatever I need. All I know is I have a removable chip that xenocron sold me thats already installed and has a basemap on there

Im gonn have to go ahead and bump this up. Gonna check what type of chip I have in my ecu (socketed by xenocron) and hopefully someone can tell me what type of burner to get.

The code on my chip is
ATMEL
AT29C256
70PC
0408

My laptop has a USB port if it matters, this is by far the hardest part of this build for me, I need a burner that will work with my shitty laptop running windows 95 maybe 98

Id also like a starter link for DATA logging if possible

either a moates burn 1 or a willem enhanced, both can be found on e bay with the proper cables and software for somewhere between $40-$65

Moates is simple to use, no need to have a jumper wire, also it uses only a usb as a power source and transfer.
