if your lean then your fucked, you want richer then what your little dinky air-fuel guage shows. also, the gReddy kit blows ass, get some real fuel mamagement, drop the FMU.
o yeah, becareful, drving with it (don't drive it lean man, NOT GOOD Fmu+boost=lean and other fucked up ---- lean+boost=detnation/pinging detenation/pinging=blown ringlands blown ringlands= blown motor blown motor= no car+no money no car+no money = no -----, and fucked up ----. |

Re:lean problems
Heh, well don't quit out on us yet. I know these guy's probably came off as being "smart ass's", but I guess you have to understand it from our point of view also. With a little bit of reading through the forums and maybe a search or two, you could have answered your question.
But anyway, no you don't want to be lean. At all! ;) Under boost and WOT you want it to be rich (12:1 AFR would be ideal for 8 psi IMO). Why, have you been running this setup and noticed it's been real lean? What are you using to tune with? Stepping up that FMU for something a little better like an Apexi AFC or even a standalone system would certainly allow more tunability and take care of all your fuel needs. |
Re:lean problems
MY AFC SHOULD BE HERE ANY DAY NOW. IS MY STOCK PUMP GONNA BE OK WITH 450'S?
|
Re:lean problems
You get smart ass answers, becasue the questions you are asking have already been asked a bajillion times, lol, and spenser is one of the hmt smartass's, gotta live with it.
Stock feul pump will handle 450's as long as you dont run any higher then 10 psi, then youll want to upgrade, im upgrading jsut to be safe, and im running around 9 psi, pretty rich though. |
Re:lean problems
Yep, stock pump should be fine. I'm running a stock pump and have been at and accidentally over 10 psi with no lean conditions. Upgrading is always a good idea though. Maybe one of these day's I'll get off my cheap ass and go buy one ;)
