LC-1 With SSI-4

After weeks of ------- with every obd0 datalogging program out there and having no success, i've decided to just pony up and
buy some hardware. I just need to make sure that the LC-1 + SSI4 kit from xenocron will do the trick? I want to verify that i will be able to datalog rpm vs map sensor vs afr with just this kit by tying into my stock ecu wires, or will i need to buy an RPM converter as well?

This is the kit

well it looks like you posted the same question i was going to i will like to know also

so far from my research you can use the combo but as its own dataloging kit not from your ecu. you will have to use logworks2 software to data log and turbo edit to make the changes to the ecu.

now basically all that is keeping me from actually buying the ssi-4 is i don't now how will i program the ssi-4 to the map sensor on the car to get accurate readings i know that it reads 0 to 5 volts but i yet have no clue as to witch wire or wires to run to the ssi-4 from the map sensor.

as for the rpm converter i don't think you need one because the ssi-4 reads rpm from your coil (+) wire "blue" if I'm not mistaken

Each of the sensors you need has a 0-5v output.

Look at a pinout for your car and TAP into the wire you need to log. MAP, TPS, RPM and Air Fuel Are KEY...

Then I would say IAT or ECT would be the other channel you can log. Or perhaps and EGT if you have an EGT kit with a 0-5v output as well...

Logworks will record and play back the log...then you just have to go back and analyze it.

Figuring out the scales is not all that difficult, just remember they are all LINEAR...so to figure it out you need two points on the scale.

For TPS, generally 0% is .5 volts and 100% is 4.5 volts. All points between those two are linear...

For MAP, generally a stock map is like 2.7volts at atmospheric and 4.5 volts at ~10 psi...again two points on a line.

Remember high school math?

Slope = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

y = mx + b

how do i set iat and ect sensors on log works????

klaus said that the "thersmitor" plugin that they provided with logworks has a bug in it.
