LC-1 display and calibrate set up.

Well I needed a wideband and I wanted one with a display like the PLX300. I don't like the fact the PLX doesn't datalog and I really liked that feature on my old LC-1.

Found a good solution. I bought an LC-1 from Chris at ------------- and then I bought this gauge from dynotunenitrous.com.

I then saw I needed a calibration button and LED. The LC-1 comes with one so off to Radio Shack I went. This is what I came up with. The picture is rough and the actual O2 wasn't hooked up or calibrated.

Not bad for around $280 total.

eeeek, $80 for that gauge?

Lemme know how the LC-1 works... aside from the sometimes flaky analog outputs, it's a really nice unit IMO. I'm just waiting to hear if the output problem has been improved befre buying one.

My last one had no noticeable issues.

I heard about all that stuff, had ONE customer with the issue, twice (weird that it happened twice to the same guy), he upgraded to the LM-1

i have installed 10 or so personally...old style and never once had an issue

the newer ones are in a nicer package...i have about 35 in stock Joseph, please talk to me before order

Yeah, I'm thinking I want one soon-ish. The guy that had his flake "post fix" might not know what he was talking about.

I'm definately going to do that. I just got my LC1 from Chris this week (along with an ostrich and all that fun stuff), so this will be a good addition.

Chris, I'm going to give you a call on Monday and pick your brain about intagrating the LC1 with the Honda ECU, Crome and datalogging.

i like that display, very compact, kinda what id like to have...

how big is the lc-1 wb controller?

Re: LC-1 display and calibrate set up.

The controller is pretty small and it ends up being out in the engine compartment.

well, it wouldnt be in the engine bay in my case. I wouldn't ever install my wideband into my car on a permanent basis. In a typical month my wideband sees about 4-5 cars. I am just looking to keep all the crap I have to lug around to a minimum.

Re: LC-1 display and calibrate set up.

The actual controller part of the LC-1 is connected directly to the 12-18 inches of lead that the sensor has, so yes it will end up in the engine compartment regardless.

Re: LC-1 display and calibrate set up.

LC-1 is the definition of minimalist packaging. If you plan on having a laptop hooked up whenever it's installed, the Logworks software does a pimp-a-licious job of logging through the serial port for when you go to set your lambda corrections.

Get it, Fookle, you aren't sure yet but I can tell you that you want it. I've had TE, PLX, and I've played with a couple of others, and LC-1 is my fav.

lol, i believe i am the one. and i absolutely love my lc1

however, if i were going to be tuning cars, i would certainly be using an lm1, strictly because of the ease of the install

Re: LC-1 display and calibrate set up.

Ease of install? I had an LM-1 how is it easier to install then the set up I posted above? I guess you have 1 ground to hook up.

i had my zeitronix wired like that and i got some way off readings with crome...once i hooked it up to the battery directly i think the most correction i ever had to do was -0.03 lambda.

Contact penguininatux he bought my old LC-1 and he is selling it. It has virtually no time on it.
