Tuning a Nissan is NOTHING like tuning a Honda. They're MAF cars, so it's a totally different mentality.

http://eccs.hybridka.com should give you most, if not all, the information you need. You will need a brain though - Nissan tuning isn't anywhere near as user friendly as Honda tuning.

Exactly... I was planning a boosted 240sx until it came time to decide on an EMS... at which point i decided to keep my little honda. ;D

Re: ka24 tuning programs???

bikirom ftw... :-[ actually its my only choice cause im rockin the 95 ecu, which has a 40x1 header... lucas oldfield (bikirom) was the first person to support this, now calum does too... didnt want to go with megasquirt cause of the headache, and didnt have the cash for a real ems...

if its a 91-94 find someone with a used 20x2 daugherboard, buy a 3c905b network card, read every post on eccs.hybridka.com and then read how to burn em with a network card http://esm.logic.net/public/dsm/ecu-flashing.html :6 .... straight up cheap, management for FAR under $100... you can also build your own consult adapter for ~$40, which will be neccisary for tuning... enough with my rant, start reading!!!

romeditor.com i got some freeware awhile back but wasnt able to test it. the freeware seemed less user friendly than crome etc..

Re: ka24 tuning programs???

i never finished my 240 but i did and still do have the calum daughterboard in my ecu running a slightly modified stock map. i used romedit to modify things slightly. it really is much less refined than hondas available programs. maf sensors really are a pita.

btw you can use the same rom burner and eproms you use for programming hondas. only thing is you need 2 eeproms.

my car is a 92. i dont think the daughterboards work for later models.

calumsult works for sr20 ecus, obd1-2a. It has alot of features and it alot cheaper than A JWT ecu.
