junk ecu?
 

my friends hatch has a mini me set up y7 block w/ y8 head in a '90 using a si obd-0 distro and a pg7 ecu, runs vtec with a vafc, we converted from dpfi to mpfi and did this swap quite a while ago like a year ago, it has run like a raped ape since then, then he got a dui and didnt drive it for a while, so today we tried to start it and it wouldnt fire, just cranks, we have fuel pressure, no spark, and i cant tell if the injectors are pulsing cuz i dont have a noid light and i cant hear them, but the ecu flasher is just solid on when the key is on, doesnt that mean the ecu is fucked? its never been modified or taken open even, but this could just happen right? and would there be a down side to using a pm6? isnt the rev lim iter lower? thanx if you can help us out guys....

How long was it sitting? Is it possible that some mice got into the wiring on the car? Happens all the time around here. Or maybe the VAFC wiring got bumped around. I can't see the ecu just go bad from the car sitting there over time.

i looked at all the wiring down by the ecu and at the distro and the engine harness, i didnt trace all the wires out, but there was no visible damage, and we live in a city, definitly not feild mice, i thought i heard before that a solid light meant teh crap ecu? i dont see how it could go bad either but its my best guess? i dunno we gotta just try a new ecu but but he's gotta buy one cheap cuz all we have layin around are pm9 (dpfi i think) and pr3's....

I've got a few OBD0 ecu's laying around here. I'd sell you one if your in need. I know I've got about 3 PM6's and a PM9. Let me know if you'd like any of them and I'll let it go for a good price. I'll never use them.

whats the pm9 out of? i just know my other friend has a couple in his garage, I thought those were the dpfi ecu? are they mpfi?
yep they are the dpfi...

solid cel only means an ecu problem when you are trying to read codes
