Jumping J1
When chipping an OBD1 Ecu, it says to jump J1, (connect it) What should I use to do that? Thanks.

Re:Jumping J1

Re:Jumping J1
an obd0 ecu there is no need for this correct? I read the writeup at ecucontrol.com and think you just unsolder the old chip and solder in a socket right? im about to chip my ecu and need some clarification. (sorry if im a highjacker)

Re:Jumping J1
OBD0 ECUs capable of having external EEPROM sockets on the native PCB are already setup to do so.
So, yes, just unsolder the chip, and solder in the socket. "J1" is already shorted. |
