inline pump w/ fuel cell
i'll be running a fuel cell in my race car. i've been looking for an inline pump to run with it. i've found a few on ebay, like this one - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33555
this would be used as the only pump in the system. 450cc injectors and about 225 whp. any input? how much flow should i be looking for? |
Re:inline pump w/ fuel cell
I'll be using a fuel cell on my EK as well...
I would figure any 255lph would supply adequate fuel for any setups we would need. Considering my bone stock in-tank supported 12psi of boost fine. |
Re:inline pump w/ fuel cell
i've found some that 190lph and im wondering if thats gonna be a little too small

Re:inline pump w/ fuel cell
remember they PUSH fuel not pull so it must be gravity fed.

Re:inline pump w/ fuel cell
or just mount it @ the bottom of the tank. :)

Re:inline pump w/ fuel cell
Well, "aftermarket" fuel cells (mass produced) have the fuel lines that come from the bottom anyway..
Mine does anyway... I'll snap pictures of it tonight. |
Re:inline pump w/ fuel cell
some have a nipple on the top also, is that just a vent?

Re:inline pump w/ fuel cell
i think i might buy this one
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT what does it mean by saying "foam filled"? |
Re:inline pump w/ fuel cell
it means that inside the cell is filled with stuff that is almost like a sponge so if u turn the car over or get a hole in the cell it won't spill no where near as fast.
