injector Question With pics

I got some dsm 450s and 2 of them have the front little black part cracked off the person i got them from said he had them tested and they worked fine is this ok to run them like this heres a pic

They will work fine. All the pintle cap really does it protect the tip of the injector if you drop it. Doesn't affect flow one bit.
