Injector question?
Ok, yesterday me and a friend of mine were sitting around trying to think of ways to increase fuel under boost without adding an safc, emange etc. I know that i cant add bigger fuel injectors without something to control them. So I thought maybe i could take my stock fuel injectors and open up the holes where the fuel comes out with a drill or take off the disks were the holes are and replace the disks with one from a bigger injector. Do you guys think this would work?

Re: Injector question?
If that didn't totally ---- over the spray pattern, it would be no different than installing higher flowing injectors.

if you don't want to add some engine management system, then at least put a FMU ... I don't like it personaly, but it will put more fuel under boost, if that's what you want |

Re: Injector question?
Ok not a great idea but it will work. Maybe i will just save up for an safc and bigger injectors. Thanks for the help.

Re: Injector question?
FMU or you can a lil bit bigger than stock in terms of cc's or using a fuel regulator and increase the fuel pressure at the fuel rail... all inferior to doing it the right way.. but will most definately work better than drilling your injectors :S

Re: Injector question?
how do you expect to drill the standard injectors without damaging the pintle
not only that but even if you could do it, i doubt you have machinery that is accurate enough to do each of the 4 injectors equally. Do it properly and get some bigger injectors, they are all of 40 bucks |
