Injector Driver (resistor box)????
There is a thread on www.turbomustang.com about imports (Hondas in particular) having some sort of injector resistor box that allows them to run low impedence injectors
The thread itself is here: http://www.turbomustangs.com/forums/...&threadid=1440 If this is fact, could someone please explain it to me. If it's B. S. then could someone with extensive Honda knowledge post on there as to why this is B. S. and how they know it to be so. TIA |
Re:Injector Driver (resistor box)????
yes. u can either wire in resistors. or put in a resistor box.
that is what you would need to do with 450cc's injectors.. i cant believe those mustang guys havent discovered that |
Re:Injector Driver (resistor box)????
Sure, lots of guys with 92+ civics/Integras with Saturated (highres) injectors use Inline resisotrs 10watt -10ohm for the conversion of hold and peak injectors I.e DSM 450cc injectors.
You can either use the inline resistors at radio schack, or get a resistor box from a Pre 92 civic/integra (and some accords) I have done both styles, either one works.. |

Is a resistor box nessessary with a v-afc?

Re:Injector Driver (resistor box)????
You need to run high impedance injectors or low impedance injectors + resistor box on any Honda ECU. The earlier Civic/Integras and some of the Accord, etc, offerings come equipped with the resistor boxes since they run low impedance injectors.
I just thought that was something good to point out in case an OBD0 guy runs across a set of high impedance injectors they want to run and doesn't know they have to remove their resistor box. |
