Injector compatibility...?

Okay, I finally got my 96' teg too boost, temporarily for a week running fmu. I got options here which maybe confusing. I want too run just straight high impedence 440cc', but too costly. On the other hand, i got a good deal on some Rc 550's, but there off a 1st gen talon. will those injectors be plug and play for my 96 ls with obd1 clips? or do I still have too run resistors? and yes, i'm gonna controll them with an apexi s-afc. I wanted too get the ecu chipped, but have too convert too obd1 p75, plus harness,injectors..so I figure just go with safc and bigger injectors and run 10psi. thanks for the help guys

Why not just pick up a set of 450's for a decent price. I see them quite a bit in the classifieds or on ebay etc. Also I think the 1g Talon injectors are Peak and Hold meaning you'd stil need resistors.

Re:Injector compatibility...?

oh yeah, sorry i did forget too mention i do have a set of 450's right now, but just wanted too know if those aftermarket 550's would just plug in my stock harness w/o any hacking of my wires. Well in any case, that leads me too ask how do u run inline resistors? what resistors do i get from radio shack? and do i just splice my injector wires and solder them on inline with all four injector wires? there are two wires from each injector, which wire do i splice and run the resitors too? the black/yellow ones or the other one? thanks

I can't find a good diagram right now and trust me... you don't want me drawing one up for you in "Paint". ;) Anyway if you use the inline resistors, you'll need the 10watt 10ohm resistors from Radio Shack. I beleive they come in a package of 2. And you'll want to wire them into the yellow and black stripped wires on your injectors.

ohh okay..sweet. that's all i needed too know. what if i'm using dsm clips? does it matter which way i wire them?

Re:Injector compatibility...?

You'll see on the injectors and the injector clips the + side. Just wire the clips in as usual so they fit the injectos, and wire the resistors into the yellow and black striped wires. And thats it :) You'll see what I'm saying when you've got the parts in front of you.
