Incorrect reading with new fuel pump - help

I just installed my Walbro 255lph in-tank fuel pump. I removed my stock fuel pump with half a tank of gas left. I installed the new pump, trying my best to keep the fuel filter at the same distance from the bracket as the stock filter was. I start my car, the pump works great, but my fuel gauge reads a little more than 1/4 tank, not 1/2 tank.

Whats goin on here?

Go fill the gas tank up and see if the guage reads full then.

Tomorrow or so I will try that.

Could it be due to the positioning of the new fuel filter? Maybe I have to slide the pump either up or down the bracket more?

It is possible, but I would try filling it up first and seeing if it's going to self adjust. I installed some guages in my Integra and accidentally bumped my fuel guage needle and it was off as well. But I went and filled the tank and it self adjusted.
It's just a thought before you go crazy trying to adjust. lol

Yeah, as I said tomorrow I will give the tank a nice little fill job and see how that works. Hopefully it will self adjust but if it doesnt... then ----. >:(

Well as I am driving to the gas station the gauge is already starting to adjust, but it didnt completely correct itself to being 1/2 tank. I filled up the tank at the station, drove for a mile or two and the gauge is reading perfectly now.

Good stuff trance. Thanks for the help.
