Plan for lots of down time and a ton of time tuning it. Give yourself about a month to read the instruction manual. No its not as bad as all that. Well maybe it is. I would suggest spending a few hours on the ems forum getting some pointers and at this point you should be able to download some decent maps from guys on there. The only one I ever worked with had lots of problems and is now replaced with a hondata.

well i planned on installing it with some pretty base maps that i can download off the aems forums and even hondatech has a couple downloadable from people whom ive spoken too like in the last day...

i just need a base map to drive it to a damn dyno near here then have them dyno tune it to probably 9psi...

Enjoy the system, it is very powerful. Be sure to take it slow and have a good understanding of what you are changing before you change it. Also, you should log your changes in a notebook so that you can remember all the stuff you did.

hehe good luck rick,
like i told ya when u asked me what i thought
buy it.. plug it.. ill help ya with the pc end of it. put a simple map on it.. drive right to the dyno without spooling and let them take care of it.

unless making very small little changes standalone systems are useless unless you have a dyno at home ;)

but ya we can set your v-tec to 8000 RPM YO!!! MO BETTA!!

Set the AF to 12.5:1 and the ignition retard to 0.5 degrees per psi and you are 75-90% of the results a dyno will get you.

Why is that attractive? Because you did it, and you learned something about the $1200+ gizmo you just bought in order to do it.

Re:Imma get a AEM EMS suckas!!!

im sure once i see how it works and i get to play with it choke the motor and bog a bit lol that i will learn.
im just scared of it to be quite honest.

its like i have full control of everything and anybody who knows me will tell u i love to push my luck.

on the mirage i said ah wtf. i know it can take 13psi mind u its a stock dg15 gave it some more gas and sure enough..

13psi NON Intercooled and the sucka lasted fine..
of course its only 9 and intercooled now but thats the stupid ---- i do.

if i got too cocky with this ems i would def put it to 12psi stock internals...
