Im a mongoloid...DSM injectors

Got everything going on the GRM car.

crank , it fires, but doesn't run..

D16Z6

oBDo to 1
DSM 450's
stock resistor box
89 EF si

Do I need to do any resistor box wiring to make this work??

I have found a few conflicting articles

Re: Im a mongoloid...DSM injectors

On my teg I run them without resistor box.
Wasnt starting with the resistor box so I removed it...

Re: Im a mongoloid...DSM injectors

LOL Really? You need the resistor box. It should run. Did you swap injector clips? Are they spraying? Did you check spark? Do you have a basemap for 450's?

Re: Im a mongoloid...DSM injectors

This is what I have been finding , you need it , don't need it...ect.. Re-wire it...

I have a basemap on the way , right noiw I just have the stock socketed Po6

Re: Im a mongoloid...DSM injectors

Wait what? You have a socketed P06 with a blank chip in it? Is your J1 jumper cut? It would pop with the 450 and maybe even run a bit but not run well and will foul the plugs.

Re: Im a mongoloid...DSM injectors

there is no debate on it. you have to run a resistor box. if not, those injectors will fry your ecu. it might take a while though, i have never done it.

if you are trying to run on the stock ecu it should fire and die. you are getting almost twice as much fuel as you should. try running it with a bunch of throttle. that should keep it alive to see if everything is working, but i wouldnt do it long, you dont want to wash the oil from the cylinders

Re: Im a mongoloid...DSM injectors

Damn, so why they were not working at first??? lol Maybe it was just a coincidence that they didnt run at first and work after the removal...

Re: Im a mongoloid...DSM injectors

then it wasnt wired right. a resistor box wont stop them from working if wired right. if a resistor box is used when its not needed then you will ruin the injectors. i also dont know how long that takes cause i have never done it

Re: Im a mongoloid...DSM injectors

I didnt touch the resistor before so it must be a bad luck... Anyway I drove it 4 times and didnt burn anything... I'll check this out before the next run.

Re: Im a mongoloid...DSM injectors

did your car come stock with a resitor box? i dont really mess with tegs

Re: Im a mongoloid...DSM injectors

Yes, they come stock with resistor box. I've put it on and it start like without it, but now when I drive for more than 10 minutes there is no more CEL about injectors that I wasnt understanding :1 Thanks PhilStubbs lol This kind of thing should be stickied...

Re: Im a mongoloid...DSM injectors

Got it running on a set of RC 380's. Took out the resistor box....

but that wasn't the problem, my OBD0 to OBD1 harness is homemade and I forgot a few plugs..

once a friend (class A tech who had the same swap) looked at it for 2 secs he got it goin.

fired up , idled down..open exhuast is loud. Build a 2.5" exhaust (side dump) with a resonator.

This weekend Im gonna put int he axles and give it a try.

Thanks for the help guys!

Its probably because you're a retard and wired it wrong. Its true that most people cannot solder or rewire ---- to save their life.

All the resistor box does is keep the ecu from sending way too much amperage. It overheats the ecu components, and in case of the injectors going over 200whp, overheats them too. It will send 3-5 amps rather than the stock 1 amp. Look up info on solenoids - intermitant units burn up if run too long (draws lots of amps), while continuous will not - the difference is the continuous has a coil with far more resistance.

BTW I'm glad you found out its a waste of time and resources to make your own obd0-1 harness.

I think you mean voltage. Current is the same on both sides of a resistor.

Shut up bitch the resitor box is oem on a 91 integra. Maybe Honda are retarded ...

V = R*I so if we assume that V is constant, V/R = I, So more R is big less the current is big. Vice-versa. He is right jago... gay, but right.

Re: Im a mongoloid...DSM injectors

450cc dsm injectors are low imp 2 ohm injectors.

If you have an injector that measures more than 4 ohms across the connectors you need some sort of resistor, regardless of the make/model/car.

/------- thread.

Oh, and never use any injectors from a porsche 944. That is all.
