igniton problem
My friend and I were on a trip a few weeks ago. We ended up having to make some timing adjustments because it was way off. My question is we did everything the haynes manual said to do and the damn thing still retarded back to where it was. I was hoping for insight on how to fix this problem because im about to build a higher compression engine and I was going to manualy retard the timing. And I dont want it dropping back. Thanks for insight.

Re:igniton problem
What car?
..there should be a jumper under the dahs somewhere that you jump the pins together, and it stops the computer from adjusting timing while you're trying to set it. |
Re:igniton problem
yeah see thats why I was curious (95 civic ex mods:CAI,Headers,Exhuast,Apexi AFC) we found the jumper connected the pins still went back to running like crap

Re:igniton problem
then you most likely did not hook them up right. is it a green conector? mine did the same thing and i didnt have the jumper wire hooked up right...fixed it and it worked perfectly.
