Ignition Maps Are Crazy. Need Help Adjusting - TurboEDIT

EDIT:

Heres the map I came up with after some smoothing

Alright, I know ---- all aout ignition timing, no idea how much a regular car on a 3 bar and this much boost would be and I couldnt find any bins to ref it to

So I just smoothed them out

Im pretty sure this is conservative as ---- but could someone give me some pointers, maybe I could add some more timing in places or I have to much

lol u livin up there?

Car was running mint on a 2.5 bar I got, then I did a swap and the little bastard of a sensor broke so I swapped in the 3 bar I bought from Josh when we were up there. Using this basemap Ive foudn the car runs pretty dam good, but obviously the maps are fucked

Wouldnt mind heading back up there though, hes always up to something fun, I found an intake he wanted I think and I need some traction bars

Distributor is in the middle of the travel just like my last one was and that was a perfect 16*

I guess I just need someone to fiddle with these maps to make them a bit more stable and smooth without all these harsh jumps. I dont get what the ignition numbers mean really

I definetely need some help on exactly what numbers I should be shooting for while in boost

I dont get what the numbers are representing compared to my base timing of 16*

Like @ 5psi what number should I be at? 15psi?

Dont really get that, feels seems to be down pat steady

16 is what you have at idle then it works its way up

typical vtech all motor mappage I end usually running 26-28 degrees at wot at the end of the road.

Hence why you scale down timing has 30 degrees of timing at 7000 rpm's is no bueno on boooooooooooosssssssttttttttt

So you blew te budget build?
You eally should convert to OBD1!
Sure come on up, Great that you found the intake, I was getting ready to fab one myself. We can slap the Ostrich in it and get it running nice.

I look at the maps when I have time on break. E-mail me the .bin and I'll see if I can smooth or work it out if I have time after T-Bars tonight.

hmmmmmmm, a run up to josh's

I might just have to think about it, I havent really had the car running mint at all, weird idle problems and ----

I didnt "blow" the budget build, it was the pussiest "blow" of all time, my timing belt snapped and the motor just died, no ------- crazy noises or anything, I would have much rather had a piston coming at me

Emailed you the bin though
