I want to make some investments in my tuning gear, help me spend money

Ok so I really want to get my tuning gear to where it is good times.

I just took a fat payraise friday, so I wanna step up and get all this ---- laid out.

First thing I know I will be getting is an ostrich, as well as stepping into Crome Pro.

The next thing I want to do, is get a custom harness set up. I want it to be OBD1 to OBD1 direct, but in between I want to tap in splices to run the following to my zeitronix datalogger. I'd like to get someone to do this for me and get it all set up with the leads and some sort of male/female plugs on it so I can just plug my signal lines on the wideband right in and go. The idea here is to make my wideband setup all fully mobile.

1. MAP Signal
2. TPS Signal
3. RPM Signal
4. Possibly run a line that disconnect the stock o2 lead and uses the narrowband signal from the zeitronix wideband

I am not sure if I should do #4, so if the wise here can let me know if thats worth the effort, that'd be great.

Lastly, I want some that I can datalog knock with. I have a user input on the zeitronix that can pick up a voltage signal if that would be useful. This is one of the biggest difficulties for me as I don't really know where to even begin on this. If anyone out there can recommend something or would even offer to set something up for me and let me pay them for their services, that'd be awesome.

yeah, go ahead and do the obd1>obd1 with connections on everything you need, including the o2 input, even if you don't switch back and forth between wideband and narrowband, it makes for easy removal of everything if/when you need to take the wideband out. crome also logs knock anyway ;) you'll need to get a p72, p30 or jdm pr3 though, but just to use your zeitrnoix software to log knock, all you would really need is to mount a knock sensor somewhere on the block and have it feed directly to to the zeitronix. you can make the obd1>obd1 yourself, it's really easy because all the pin outs go to the same spot on the male and female end, theres no confusion like when making conversion harness' and have to cross pin outs. you can pick up connections anywhere like radio shack.

now when it comes to logging knock, ive heard that honda knock sensors aren't really all that good, is this true?

while primarily id like to just have knock logging capability on my own setup, it would be nice to have it be something more mobile. I find I am doing more and more cars for other people, and it'd be nice to have that ability.

Crome has knock or data filtering from what I believe. If you want REAL knock detection for a good price...start looking at a J&S Safeguard.

As far as the OBD1--OBD1 harness I use the very same thing and it helps SOOOOOO much. Takes a good 25-30 mintues off the front and back end of a tuning session from when I use to cut into harnesses and splice and reconnect wires...YUCK!

If you need the harness, I can get you one of course. I wont rape you either :)
