ok, i have a tsi and an esi, the esi has a blown block and the tsi has a blown piston and valves, can i take the piston and hone it out and take the head n all off of the esi and work on the tsi?

 

It depends what year each of them are... The 1990-1994 TSi/ESi Engines were similiar but the 1995-1998 Engines were different as the TSi kept the first generation engine except it was a 7 bolt instead of 6 bolt and the TSi kept the first generation engine except changed the engine from a 14b to t25. It all depends on what year.
