my P72 was already socket'd and has a jumper install'd when i bought it! i haven't been able to get ahold of the seller to ask these question's.

but, i do not know how to use the jumper!?! does anyone have a pics of it? jump'd? and un-jump'd?

any help would be great!

Re:does anyone have a pics of...

just use one of hte cutoff legs from the resistor and solder it in there. the distance between the 2 holes does not allow for a standard jumper. and if you want to turn off the chip you need to either cut it or take it out.

Onyx is right, but if it's already socketed and chipped why would you want to mess with it? ???

i don't want to mess with it at all!!! the seller told me when i bought it. that i needed to jump the jumper. if i want to use the chip in the socket!! but i do not know how to do that!?!
it's a plastic peice that has 4 slots. when you move it oneway or the other. it jump's it!!

i have no clue!

Yes please. There's a bit of confusion going on. It sounds like your talking about some sort of switch being installed to the jumper, but dwpending on what this ecu already has and what your going to use it for, it may not be necessary. So a close up pic of the ecu's internals would help us out somewhat.

WTF is that? damn, just de-solder whatever the ---- that is and solder in a leg from a resistor...
