Default i may be totally wrong, but just a hunch

i installed my afc last night (no injectors yet), but i was just wondering if i could use the afc to increase the fuel through the stock injectorss until i get some 450s?

rather than scaling down bigger injectors, it would be "scalling up" smaller ones, in a sense.

i still havent grasped the entire concept as to how the afc works, but i just had this idea and was wondering if it made any sense??

go ahead and flame away :P, i was just curious

no.. the AFC doesnt scale the injectors. it scales the MAP signal which the ecu sees the modified signal and squirts the fuel according to the modified map signal. so in theory, ,you would be added signal voltage w/ upscaling hense doing more damage then good.

However, he would, in fact, be increasing fuel, and retarding timing. The increased MAP sensor voltage would put him at a richer part of the fuel map, and a more retarded part of his ignition map. The exact opposite of what happends when scaling bacl for 450s.

Now, the reason this isn't going to do mch is because your computer will compensate already for the mods that you have. Intake, header, exhaust? That's about it. 240cc injectors will cover that, and the computer will already compensate for them, if you reset it.

you are correct, but he will get into voltage levels that will cause the ecu to get into LIMP mode because the voltage will indicate boost levels to the ecu.

Well, that all depends on the increase. An AFCs true purpose *IS* to increase fuel. We just use it as a "hack" to run boost.

+10% will not hit limp mode.
