There are plenty of resources here for basemaps to get you on your way. you basically just need to read more but you are on the right track. get a wideband + burner or ostrich and a datalogging cable . Crome can mess with timing values when you need em, and anything else you need. Its what everyone uses typically. At least on this site. All this stuff we are telling you is proven.

I am already getting a crome chipped ECU with a base map, so I think Tuning will be pretty straight forward adjustments of a/f.
I am going to read more.

Is datalogging abosolutely essential to tuning a car? Or is this something that can be added later? I mean, can I tune that ---- with out data logging? Is it something like the emulator, where it just makes it easier?

It is impossible to effectively tune a car without datalogging, that is key. The best way on a Honda is to feed your wideband signal into the ECU, and datalog through the ECU. Some widebands can also datalog their own signal, like the LM-1. I've never used an LC-1 so I can't say if it can datalog by itself. Even though my LM-1 can datalog by itself, I feed it through to the ECU and datalog that because I have every other parameter being logged at the same time. So instead of just having a log of AFR, I can log AFR vs. RPM, ect, iat, etc. Most rom editors for Honda datalog the exact cell that your car is reading from at the time which makes things even easier.

So, New plan.
-Get Aforementioned wideband (LC-1 w OMeter)
-Get Datalogging cable
-Purchase crome pro.
IM not going to sit here and lie, my plan has officially become a tad more expensive with knowing im now going this route. I think im getting the wideband first, then will install that with my base map and see how i am sitting for a/f.
Its not my DD, so its not really necessary for me to tune immediately, but I am really really wanting to start leaerning badly and within the next month tops. I will then get Crome Pro and a datalogging cable and boost my sis in laws laptop haha so I can attempt to tune my ish.

jago - Good looking out man, I had heard that before and will definately get it through Xeno.
The only reason im not gettng my ECU through Xeno, is Phearable offeres the CEL shift light (RICE! Sorry...it is, but I want it) and the 2 step launch. I did not see that on Xeno's site as options?
