hypothetical question
OK say i have a d16xx runing 8 psi on a 14b with uberdata. could i put on a B&M fpr and gauge and raise the pressure from 40 ( I thinks thats what stock pressure is) to say around 60 psi. Then go into uberdata and adjust the maps accordinly. Do you think this would work with stock 240cc injectors with a 255 pump?
Yeah put that in you pipe and smoke it LOL , dave |
Re:hypothetical question
yes, you can adjust the fuel pressure in uberdata and it will adjust the maps accordingly automatically ;) and no, it wouldn't be very effective using 240cc injectors :P

Re:hypothetical question
It should work you just have to bump the pressure up more. If you go HERE type in 130 bhp (stock hp)4 injectors 50 bsfc 80% duty cycle and 40 psi you come up with 233 cc/min.
Now say at 8 psi you might be making 180 bhp so you type in 180 then you change your bsfc to 60 and fuel pressure up to 90psi you can keep your ~80% duty cycle and be close to 240cc.=) it comes up with 247cc. what do you think. I know 90 psi seems high but thats what a good intank pump is for ;D |
Re:hypothetical question
trust me, all 'theory' aside, those injectors will be way beyone 100% duty cycle, this is real world application we're talking about here. and only 180bhp at 8 psi, i hope you can squeeze more than that ;)
ok, i just opened an uber .bin real quick to check duty cycle if boosting on 240cc's, you'd be at about 112% duty cycle at about 5.5psi at 7k rpms ;) |
Re:hypothetical question
i appreciate the hypothetical nature of this question...
could you make it work, sure...its the same theory as the FMU. would i go higher than 4-6 psi...nope would i do it myself...nope just buy a set of $50 injectors and do it right |
