How to not blow my next motor up????
I know unblown motors is uncommon around here....hehe. I'm putting together a minime with a d15b2 and a z6 head. I'll be running an 14b with stock wastegate. Using uberdata and 450's for tuning. I wanna get some input on how I should go about putting together a tune for this motor that will be very safe. I'm sure I'll be around 8-10 psi boost with the stock wastegate. I might try to lower that a bit since I really can't afford to blow this motor up for a bit.
I plan on using a p28 map and will start by pulling some timing out of it since the mini me will put me a little over 10:1 compression and the stock map is designed for low 9's, correct? And pull about .5-.7 degrees/lb at max boost
Probably run around 11.5:1 a/f ratio from a couple psi up to max boost.
This all sounds pretty basic but I'm just looking for some help on how to cover myself as much as possible on this.

i have no rom editing experience but i will try to help you with my reading experience on hmt
that sounds good to me correct me if im wrong
12:5-12:0 is optimal 11:5 is overkill, do you have wideband if not keep a constant eye on your plugs

Re:How to not blow my next motor up????
heres a way to not blow it dont boost it. mini mes arnt as safe when it comes to boost. either boost a built non vtec d or boost a stock vtec d. there are people that have done it but as far as i know they didnt last very long. its like boosting a b18c because you have to lower the comp (making less power) just to boost it to make more power. to me its to many steps for something that can be done in less just with a dif motor.
