how do I... (URGENT DYNO TOMORROW MORNING)

How do I check a code on a car that has been converted from OBD2 to OBD1? I just put a P28 in my car and I have a chck light and it runs funny. I'm running uberdata w/ a stock P28 bin on a stock non-turbo Y8 and it seems to be running semi-ok bu maybe a bit rich or something. the check light is on, so I need to figure that out, I am supposed to dyno on a new setup toorrow morning but I need to figure this out first.

cant you just put a jumper in the service connector like normal?

yes, you check it just like normal. if it's a solid cel, it's a fucked up burn, just try to reburn the chip. and yes, a completely stock ud rom will run a little rich.

cut j1 to return to to stock rom, if the cel goes away, you know it was the burn if the cel goes away. did you create the basemap or get it from someone else? it has to be saved in the ud directory, not just saved to like 'my documents' or something,

yes, but bad burns usually throw solid cel's that contain no codes, so it wouldn't do any good ;)

And the car will run in safe mode with solid cel.

A topis along the same lines....how would you check codes on a OBD1 ECU in a OBD0 car?

There is a service connector but OBD0 ECUs always blinked themselves...

Do you have to ground anything or wire up your own check engine light?
