Re: how do I connect my wideband to a laptop
Number 1: Which Wideband are you using?
Number 2: To datalog using ECUControl an TE u need the LATEST Version, it's not on the TE website, I found it at PGMFI.org. It's just an .exe file. Called Turboedit_676.exe or omething like it. You need the lastest pluggin of ECUControl. Number 3: Burn a ROM with the o2 sensor disabled. (under general options in TE) Number 4: Slice you 5volt WB signal into your stock o2 sensor pin on you Cars ECU (should be c16 if I remeber correctly) Number 5: Open TE, open the rom thats in your ECU, Open the ECUControl Pluggin, Change the device to the PLX WB. COnnect, and log. The thing is ECUControl only has a PLX Device. I don't know what other devices use for voltages, you may need to use the correction factor. My WB is a Non-Linear Device, after I log, I open my file in Excel, Convert the PLX AFR to Volts, then using a formula I determined, I convert the Volts to my AFR. So it depends alot on you device. Innovate and PLX are Linears, so they should be the same I think. If you don't know if it's linear or not, find out or PM me and I can help you out with determining how to log your WB and converting it. |

Perfect. You won't (or at least I don't think) have any problems, just follow those steps and it should work.
