honda computer overriding a hack?

NO, the stock honda computer acually learns that its being hacked and overides the afc(or whatever).

No, that is impossible.

Can you post exactly where this is for me? I'd like to spank some ass.

During closed loop, the ecu makes both 'short' term and 'long' term adjustments to the fuel map based on O2 feedback. (up to a maximum %)
Open loop is purely map based, and is not affected.

This touches on the subject a bit:

Come'on Joseph, all that reading on the PGMfi forums and you havent heard of this? ;)

Re:honda computer overriding a hack?

It does that with Hondata boost code, too, since the Hondata code is 99% Honda code.

Learning air fuel correction for emissions under cruising conditions is a seperate beast from open loop where the ECU operates off of fuel and ignition tables as if they were carved in stone.

Werd.

So in sum, the Honda ECU will try to correct for an AFC hack only during closed loop AND if the combined larger injector/lowered map reading produces an errant rich/lean condition.

Thats what I meant. Closed loop only. :P
