Just wanted to see who has the highest boost on a FMU and what brand u are running just 4 fun?

Ditch that ---- and get real fuel management. For the record I wouldn't go above 5 psi. Your fuel pressures will start to go through the roof after that, and you could get an injector failure

noone here runs an FMU its against our religion not to metion its stupid.. if some do run one they dont say they do

I'm pretty sure some of us ran an fmu before we had real fuel managment! Anyways, 5psi, i wouldn't push it any higher or your're asking for trouble!

7 to 8 psi max, more than that are under your own risk

MY Motec standalone came with a 8:1 fmu and said it was good up to 2 bar.

7 psi all day long on an fmu, as long as you get a high pressure fuel pump, and retard base timing like 3-4* but its sensless, you could have a chipped ecu for the same cost... :-*

Yes, also remember to use some missing link or check valves. You can use fmu no problem, but your next choice must be a chipped ecu and some 450cc, can be cheaper than your FMU and the best fuel management.

10-12psi on my first ever build... an a20 accord lx-i with a 12:1fmu and 310cc injectors + 6 fish tank check valves. Manually retarded the dizzy and ran it like that with some old turbo from an audi. Idle was horrible and threw huge black gobs of smoke out the tailpipe until around 4psi. Pretty much sold the car right after that, developed a small rod knock and lasted about 3 weeks for the new owner before he broke a piston.

I've been running 7psi all day today on my 12:1 fmu setup with an inline pump,
I know my limits & its going back down to 5psi intil i decide to build a d16 with a tune.

but I baby my motor in a way,I've seen too many d15's brake the dust

try 32 psi on a b16a and yes the car went to a nhra quick 16 final running low 10.40's. There is way to get fmu's to actually give alot of fuel delivery but its not very streetable in anyway.

i'vew ran 14 psi on a mini me and a fmu a couple times but i usually kept it around 8-9 with timming retarded

going for 6psi with a nissan t25 on a small port toyota 4age 16v. gonna be using the stock 182cc injectors :S hoping it holds till i can afford better management. thinking about retarding timing at the dizzy a few degrees . hoping my ---- doent blow

yea it idled fine i took the motor out to put in my built z6. it still ran fine the day i took it out. now it my "spare motor"

I'm using a 12:1 FMU for the moment on my 94 Accord with stock injectors and have hit about 7lbs of boost. Wished there was some way to tune my ecu for an automatic setup.

I AM running a 3-1 Vortech at up to 30 psi boost.

does the number of check valves go up with the amount of boost you need to bypass????

Yeah, the more boost, the more check valves you're going to need.

----, I was only running two tetra fish tank valves and managed to get 8lbs. before I popped a CEL. Now, I put another one in, and haven't seen one yet, and have had it up to about 10lbs on occasion. :y

do the check valves need to be like for a dizzy or just a crap load of small fish tank ones?
