Hiccups

So I was finally have the turbo working the way I want it too, now my problem is the tune. A long time ago I pulled a base map off the xenocron (final bin) and have been using that for driving around on. But there has always been some stuttering at the higher rpm, not sure of the exact rpms. I installed a Data cable onto the ECU, but haven't done any datalogging yet.

Will datalogging take care of the these hiccups, or do I need a new base map?

Also I've looked around for some detailed instructions on how to data log, but didn't anything worth while. I would appreciate some suggestions on directions.

Thanks in advance

I guess I should ask about wideband o2 sensors as well. Can I buy a Bosch WBO2 and put that in place of my stock o2 sensor, or do I need to buy a fancier unit that plugs into the laptop. I'm planning on datalogging with uber, or chrome

Hiccups

If the hiccups have lasted more than a month they're called Intractable Hiccups. You might have a little more luck on some of the forums for Dysphagia or something like that. I had a quick look for forums specifically set up for the Intractable hiccups, but couldn't find anything specific. There are numerous hits though for various treatments. It can be a very serious problem. I sure hope that your friend's friend is over them soon or that they can figure out what's causing them and get that sorted out.

hahaha

data logging doesn't solve the problem it just shows you how the car is running and what was going on while your driving. if i had to guess the tune you loaded to your ecu isn't the best for your car.. check around the forums and find someone in your area that can do a street tune for you or if have some cash laying around find a shop that will dyno / tune it.. those base maps are just to get you going until you can tune it properly
