Default Help Please ! What do i need to tune my 37820-PM7-X04 CRX

Hello,

What can i do to chip my ecu 37820-PM7-X04. CRX ED9 D16Z5 124 Hp Engine Build 1991. Setup with a Turbo. OBD0

I want to use Crome and a RomEmu but which can i take ? Ostrich ?

I have see the IC19 will used: M38256AP-79 can i take also another chip ?



I hope someone can help me.. Sorry for my bad english

to chip it and run crome, you can throw it in the trash and buy an OBD1 ecu since that is what crome works with. You'll also need a jumper harness and an obd1 distributor, maybe some other small ----


there are chippable ecu's for OBD0 but I know nothing about that.

I wish there were some stickies or something that people could search through and figure that basic ---- out. (hint look up a couple threads where it says "FAQ READ THIS ---- BEFORE POSTING" and it should give you a much better feel for what you need)

Then come back with questions on the parts you're stuck on.

your best bet on an obd-0 ecu is turbo edit. they are super easy to chip. you just remove the stock chip, install the socket and you are done.

obd-1 is better though, then you can use crome

Thanks for this fast and good answer !

I have now install the TuboEdit Prog.

Now i must know: What Rom emulator can i take for my Chip ( M38256AP-79 ) Can i use the SST chip (27SF512) is this the right one ?

What about the http://www.-------------/catalog/apu1...ion-p-140.html Rom Emulator can i take this ?

yes, you can use the 27sf512. Also, that emulator/ chip burner from xenocron is good

Can i use an emulator for OBD0 ?

works it only on OBD1 ?

should work either way. i think the only problem is if turboedit will send to the emulator. i dont mess with obd-0 stuff
