everythiing was working fine before, i think it might have to do with the amount of heat in my engine bay running the open turbo. i'm pretty sure its getting to my alternator.

Oh yeah, that reminds me......

:P

How does that work with the A/C switch? I've heard you can turn it on and off with the A/C switch, but what determines that? Is it in the chipping or is it an option you can turn on and off?

it has to be set when you program the chip, but you have to either a) still have your a/c hooked up, or b) hard wire the a/c plug on your wiring harness, or c) install a toggle switch to pin out b5 on the ecu that completes a ground when you close it.

So even if it isn't "set" or whatever it can still be turned on and off if I ground b5?

no, b5 is the a/c switch, that's just a way to turn it on and off if you don't have a/c, but want to use the a/c feature to activate it. if it was set for a/c activate, and you didn't have a/c or ground b5, then it would never activate, and if you don't choose a/c activate, then it's on all the time, the only way to disengage it is to reach the set mph.
